Staging of races
Event postponements according to Swiss Ski/FIS competition rules.

Postponement of the event
The OC reserves the right to postpone the races until the weekend of 3/4 March 2012 in the event of extreme weather. Entries remain valid for the re-arranged date irrespective of the reasons for the postponement. No reimbursements or category changes will be accepted.

Insurance and liability
Entrants take part in the various races at their own responsibility and risk. The organisers accept no liability for accidents or any loss or damage (including theft).

Chips/transponders attached to race numbers
The timing chip is attached to the rear of the race number and offers maximum reliability and precision, even at high speeds and in tightly packed fields. Their use is self-explanatory – simply attach your race number and you’re ready to go. Please note: at the end of the race you must return the chip to the marked collection point so it can be re-used in the interests of economy and the environment. Failure to do so will result in a charge of CHF 50.–.

Text message service – sponsored by Coop
On the day of the race you will receive a free text message showing your time and final position. You can register for this service online at www.gommerlauf.ch from February 20th 2012.

• Subsequent category changes: CHF 15.– / EUR 13.-*

Start pen allocation
Start pens are allocated according to results in previous years. Start pen requests and re-allocations should be submitted with evidence of ability to mailto:swissloppet@datasport.com.

Matterhorn Gotthard Railway (MGB) shuttle service
Competitors can travel free of charge between Oberwald and Niederwald on presentation of their race number or bank transfer receipt (valid on the day of the race only).

Transfer of possessions
Plastic bags for the transfer of clothing to Oberwald will be handed out at the race number issue point and can also be obtained from the start area in Blitzingen. Please take the bag with your possessions to your allocated bus in plenty of time.

The warm-up will take place in the start area in Blitzingen.

Massage
A massage service will be offered in the sports hall in Oberwald as follows:
Saturday, February 25th 2012, 11.00 to 13.00
Sunday, February 26th 2012, 11.00 to 14.00

Illness/Accidents
We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance before registering online. This is available for 5% of the entry fee. Datasport terms and conditions apply.

Objections/protests
Objections are to be submitted in writing along with a CHF 50.– deposit to the information desk in the Goms Race Village by 12.30 on Saturday and Sunday. Objections relating to the RWS Kidz-Trophy and the Mini-Goms Race must be made within 30 minutes of the competition/race ending.

Ranking points
The International Goms Race counts towards the Swiss-Loppet and, since 2008, the Euroloppet Series.

Ranking list
Separate ranking lists will be compiled for men and women and boys and girls (available online at www.gommerlauf.ch).

Awards/prizes
Prizes must be taken receipt of at the prizegiving ceremony. They will not be sent to winners.
• Special prizes for the first three in each race
• Prizes will be awarded to the first five finishers in each race
• Each participant will receive a souvenir prize and a present

Prize money
Valid for the Men’s and Women’s 30 km Int. Goms Race only. Prize money must be taken receipt of at the prizegiving ceremony. It will not be sent to winners.
1st place overall      CHF 1'200.–
2nd place overall     CHF 700.–
3rd place overall      CHF 500.–

Sprint prize money
There are a total of two sprint competitions for men and women. Prize money must be taken receipt of at the prizegiving ceremony. It will not be sent to winners.
1st place      CHF 200.– / sprint
2nd place     CHF 100.– / sprint
3rd place      CHF 50.–/ sprint

Honorary gifts
Participants taking part in the Goms Race for the 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th 35th or 40th time will be honoured and can collect an anniversary gift from the information tent in the finish area in Oberwald.

Lost property
On the day of the race lost property can be handed in or collected from the information tent in the Goms Race Village in the finish area in Oberwald.
